The tragedy in Las Vegas forced other outdoor concert venues to examine security measures and that includes the popular Hollywood Bowl.

Sidewalks paced with pedestrians and long lines of cars streamed into the Hollywood Bowl parking lot Tuesday night. Thousands of fans attended a sold-out concert for popular artist Chance the Rapper.

In the wake of the Las Vegas massacre in which a gunman opened fire at people during the Route 91 Harvest Festival, some people felt uneasy.

"My mom was actually in Vegas during the concert, so that was a little stressful," Justin Rader said. "But at the same time, hopefully we won't have any of that tonight. We're hoping for the best."

Karron Figueroa dropped off her son and his friend at the Bowl.

"We had a nice long talk and we feel like the kids need to still be able to live their lives," she said.

Los Angeles police were also on patrol at the iconic open-air venue. Bowl officials said the security of concertgoers is a priority. But some fans said they won't let fear take control.

"I feel like just because it happened now doesn't mean like it's going to happen today or tomorrow - it could happen any day so wherever you go you should be cautious," Samuel Robert said.

Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said there are no specific or credible threats in the Los Angeles area.
