Man violently beaten in home invasion in Sun Valley
A man was violently beaten during a home invasion late Thursday night Sun Valley.

SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was violently beaten during a home invasion late Thursday night Sun Valley, and two armed suspects were being sought.

The incident happened shortly before midnight at a residence near Vineland Avenue and Strathern Street, where the masked suspects handcuffed the homeowner.

The assault victim was left bloodied by the attack, but he declined to be transported to a hospital. He was seen with his head wrapped in a bandage as Los Angeles Police Department officers conducted an investigation at the house.

The man told the LAPD that the intruders fled the scene empty-handed after demanding cash that he did not have.

According to witnesses, the man and his wife were at home with their children when the suspects entered. The house was equipped with surveillance cameras, but it was unclear if the incident was captured on video.

A description of the intruders was not immediately available.
