Domestic violence suspect injured in Anaheim officer-involved shooting

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A domestic violence suspect is in the hospital after being shot by Anaheim police over the weekend.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 900 block of S. Citron Street at about 2 p.m. Saturday, looking for a man involved in a domestic dispute.

Officers got inside and attempted to contact the 23-year-old suspect in a bedroom, when the officer-involved shooting occurred. Details on what led to the shooting were not immediately clear.

The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

He was expected to be booked on domestic violence charges once he's released.
