Kidnapping, domestic violence suspect sought in Antelope Valley
A manhunt is underway for a suspect wanted for domestic violence in the Antelope Valley, and officials warn he should be considered armed and dangerous.

LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- A manhunt is underway for a suspect wanted for domestic violence in the Antelope Valley, and officials warn he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives said Thursday 40-year-old Anthony Barretta kidnapped an ex-girlfriend at gunpoint and assaulted her.

The victim, who was not identified, is OK, officials said.

Barretta is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 235 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Officials said there is a $1 million warrant for the arrest of Barretta, who should be considered armed and dangerous.
