In Arlington Heights, a shooting victim's daughter is appealing for help.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the person who killed Lucio Garcia in front of his home July 20 of 2017.

Police say Garcia was parking his car in front of his house about 12:30 a.m. when the suspect walked up and started shooting. They say he did not say anything to Garcia and there does not appear to be a motive.

Garcia's daughter was in the car at the time of the shooting. She was grazed by a bullet on her forehead. Garcia's grandchildren were also in the car, but were not injured.

"We just want the community to help us find who did this to my dad," said Vanessa Garcia through tears. "My kids were in the car as well. My oldest son knows that his grandpa passed away, and he's always mentioning every day that he misses his grandfather."

The Los Angeles Police Department also implored the public for help. "This family needs your help and we need your help in solving it," one officer said.

If you have any information on the case, contact the LAPD.
