Chase suspect leaps from East LA school rooftops
An armed pursuit suspect led police on a wild chase through East Los Angeles and at one point ran across rooftops of a middle school.

EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An armed pursuit suspect led police on a wild chase through East Los Angeles and at one point ran across rooftops of a middle school.

After the suspect managed to drag out a pursuit for nearly two hours, the suspect foot-bailed and ran into Animo Ellen Ochoa Charter Middle School to hide. It all happened around 11 p.m. Friday night.

AIR7 HD was live over the scene as the unnamed suspect appeared to be on the roof of the school.

The man eventually surrendered and was arrested just outside of the campus.

No further information was released.
