3 in custody after report of drive-by shooting in Pico-Union area

PICO-UNION, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Three people were taken into custody and more suspects were sought after officers responded to a drive-by shooting in the Pico Union area.

When officers arrived at 11th and Union around 1:15 a.m., they witnessed a muzzle flash. That's when one officer opened fire.

No injuries were reported in either shooting.

A six-block area was closed while police investigated the incident.

K-9 units were helping officers search for more possible suspects.
