INDIO, Calif. (KABC) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck Riverside County on Thanksgiving, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor struck 8 miles northeast of Indio at about 5:21 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries or damage.
