SAUGUS, SANTA CLARITA (KABC) -- A vicious brawl in Saugus between two boys that landed one in the hospital with a head injury was all over a girl, sheriff's officials said.

The fight, which broke out in the parking lot of an In-N-Out last Friday night, was partially caught on camera.

The footage shows dozens of people watching as the two teens throw punches. One of the boys is seen getting struck several times before falling to the ground.

In a news release, sheriff's investigators said the fight appeared to be over a girl. Sheriff's officials also said both teens involved are students at Saugus High School.

Students told Eyewitness News that the teen who was knocked to the ground suffered a concussion. Sheriff's officials said he was transported to a hospital for treatment. The teen has since returned home, according to school deputies.

Neither teen wanted to press charges. No arrests have been made.

The fight remains under investigation. Meantime, sheriff's officials said deputies will be conducting extra patrols at school functions.
