1 killed, 1 injured in North Hollywood shooting; 2 suspects sought

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One person was killed and another hospitalized during a shooting in North Hollywood Wednesday night.

Authorities said the shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 11500 block of Sylvan Street.

When paramedics arrived to the scene, CPR was performed on one of the victims. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, between the ages of 19 and 20, were said to be in a black four-door Honda that was missing its rear bumper.

Several residents were not allowed to get back into their apartment during the investigation, and they said their area is usually quiet.

Authorities said they believe the shooting may be gang related based on the words that were exchanged between the suspects and victims.

The investigation is ongoing.
