It's as iconic as the golden arches, but McDonald's is making some major changes to its Happy Meal.

The fast food chain is banishing cheese burgers and chocolate milk from its Happy Meal menu in an effort to cut down on the calories, sodium, saturated fat and sugar children consume at its restaurants.

Customers can still ask specifically for the items with the kid's meal, but the fast-food company says not listing them will reduce how often they're ordered.

The changes will be in place by June.
