Westlake Village deaths investigated as murder-suicide
A man and woman were found dead at a home in Westlake Village and authorities say they are investigating it as a murder-suicide.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (KABC) -- A husband and wife in their 70s were found dead at a home in Westlake Village and authorities say they are investigating it as a murder-suicide.

The bodies were found in the 31400 block of Glenbridge Road in Westlake Village Friday evening.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said they were called to the location for a wellness check. When they arrived they found a woman with a gunshot wound to the upper body and male with a gunshot wound to his body.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the man shot his wife first and then shot himself. A handgun was recovered at the scene.

The identity of the individuals has not been released.
