A new group of immigrants can now call themselves American citizens.

Thursday, a naturalization ceremony in Anaheim swore in 1,200 new citizens from all over the world, representing just about every creed, race and nationality.

Several among them were members of the military. Last year, California welcomed more than 85,000 new citizens.
