REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Fire stations in the South Bay opened their doors for National Fire Service Day on Saturday.

The South Bay's bravest put on life-saving demonstrations. Kids of all ages got a chance to squirt a real fire hose and tryout some of the firefighter gear.

The firefighters also provided information about what to do in a disaster, such as a wildfire or earthquake.
