EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Four USC students were struck at an intersection near campus after the driver of a car suffered a medical emergency and crashed into them on Thursday.

The crash occurred at about 12 p.m. at Jefferson and McClintock. The driver of the vehicle suffered a medical emergency before the crash, Los Angeles police said.

Three pedestrians were treated and released at the scene. A fourth person was critically injured and taken to a hospital. The driver was also hospitalized.

It was unclear whether the driver was a student or what medical emergency caused the collision.
