EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (KABC) -- A 63-year-old woman was arrested in connection to the arson investigation in the El Segundo area.

Surveillance video caught a woman starting a fire in El Segundo, and she may be linked to several acts of arson in the area.

Authorities say Barbara Nania of El Segundo was detained at about 7 a.m. Tuesday. An El Segundo officer recognized the suspect from surveillance video and initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street, police said.

Seven arson fires have been reported on the Main Street area since the end of July, police said.

Nania was booked at El Segundo Police Jail for arson and was being held on $350,000 bail.
