HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police are searching for a male suspect who terrorized an 88-year-old man inside an apartment complex during a robbery.

On Aug. 19, the suspect followed the elderly man into an apartment building after he got off a bus at Hollywood Boulevard and Bronson Avenue. The suspect confronted the victim and demanded money two times, but the elderly man ignored him.

When the victim entered the apartment complex's elevator room, he tried to close the door behind him, but the suspect pushed his way in. Surveillance video shows the suspect throwing the elderly man into the wall, then following the victim into an elevator, where he punched him several times.

The suspect, described as a man with black hair and brown eyes, left the elevator with the victim's property. He is estimated to be 5 feet 8 inches, about 150 pounds and 25 years old.
