An Irvine family is thanking a 911 operator for her help over the phone when the couple's baby unexpectedly arrived a week early.

IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) -- An Irvine family is thanking a 911 operator for her help over the phone when the couple's baby unexpectedly arrived a week early.

Orange County Fire Authority dispatcher Mishele Richards remained calm on the phone while she walked Vihn and Lanna Lam through delivering their daughter, Emilia.
