ABC7 participates in Navy diversity program

WASHINGTON (KABC) -- ABC7 was invited this week to participate in a unique program about diversity at a U.S. Naval air station just outside of Washington D.C.

Our documentary, "Witness: The Legacy of Heart Mountain," was shown.

Eyewitness News Anchor David Ono and experts Shirley Higuchi and Doug Nelson were a part of a panel discussion that followed the film.

The program was simulcast to U.S. Navy bases throughout the country.

It was part of the Navy's continuing effort to foster a better understanding of the country's multi-cultural population.
