LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles man who allegedly drove into a dozen people looking at Christmas decorations in Alhambra while drunk was charged Wednesday.

Ismael Soto, 28, was charged with four counts, including driving under the influence within 10 years of two other DUIs; driving with .08 percent blood alcohol content and causing injury within 10 years; driving while privileges suspended for DUI; and driving a vehicle not equipped with an interlock device.

On Dec. 14, Soto allegedly crashed his car into parked vehicles and a group of people near Fremont Avenue and Poplar Boulevard. He was arrested shortly after the incident.

Prosecutors are expected to recommend his bail be set at $526,200.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of more than 20 years in state prison.
