An amputee, along with his cat, were rescued after a semi-truck sheared a fire hydrant, causing a building roof to partially collapse in Glassell Park.

GLASSELL PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An amputee, along with his cat, were rescued after a semi-truck sheared a fire hydrant, causing a building's roof to partially collapse in Glassell Park.

Firefighters cut through a door of the building to reach the man. They got him and his cat to safety and were able to retrieve his prosthetic leg.
