'Band-Aid Bandit' wanted for at least 11 LA County robberies
Detectives are asking for the public's help to catch a serial robber dubbed the 'Band-Aid Bandit.'

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Detectives are asking for the public's help to catch a serial robber dubbed the "Band-Aid Bandit."

It's unclear how he got the nickname, but investigators said the suspect is responsible for at least 11 armed robberies in southeast Los Angeles County.

The suspect has targeted cellphone stores, banks and jewelry stores in Norwalk, Paramount, Hawaiian Gardens, Bellflower, Lakewood, Bell Gardens and Long Beach. He has brandished a handgun during the robberies.

The robberies started in March 2014, and his last known heist was this April. In total, the heists have exceeded $136,000.

According to authorities, the suspect is becoming increasingly violent.

Investigators released a composite sketch and said he was seen driving away in a van in some cases.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
