Blaze erupts at Denny's restaurant in La Habra

LA HABRA, Calif. (KABC) -- A fire erupted at a Denny's restaurant in La Habra early Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The blaze was reported in the 1100 block of S. Beach Boulevard at about 5:18 a.m.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the roof of the restaurant. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but the flames appeared to have originated in the kitchen area in the center of the building.

Customers and employees inside the restaurant were evacuated. No injuries were reported.

The fire was knocked down shortly after 6:30 a.m.
