LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman in her 40s has died after being struck by a Metro Blue Line train near downtown Los Angeles on Friday evening.[br /][br /]Los Angeles firefighters responded to the collision shortly after 6 p.m. near East 24th Street and Long Beach Avenue. It was unclear what the woman was doing on the tracks.[br /][br /]At about 7:10 p.m., passengers could be seen disembarking from the train.[br /][br /]Metro reported major disruptions on the Blue Line. Officials recommended using the Silver Line or the Green Line for travel between downtown Los Angeles and Willowbrook.[br /][br /][/b]
