Bomb squad clears suspicious bag at Ontario International Airport

ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- Ontario Fire Bomb Squad cleared a suspicious item in a checked bag found in Terminal 4 of the Ontario International Airport on Thursday.

The Transportation Security Administration located the item during the baggage screening process at about 3:20 p.m. Airport police briefly evacuated the terminal until the item was cleared shortly after 5 p.m.

Airport police interviewed the owner of the bag.

Four Southwest Airlines and one US Airways flights were impacted by the scare.
