STEVENSON RANCH, Calif. -- A broken water main sent water gushing through an intersection in Stevenson Ranch for hours early Thursday morning.

The break was reported shortly before 2 a.m. at Stevenson Ranch Parkway and Pico Canyon Road, according to Los Angeles County fire officials.

The Valencia Water Company responded to the scene, but the water was gushing down the streets for more than four hours.

It's not clear how big that main is or what caused it to break.
