ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (KABC) -- A white 2014 Honda Civic belonging to missing Orange County woman, Erica Alonso, has been found in an Aliso Viejo neighborhood.

The 27-year-old has been missing since Feb. 14, when she went out with her ex-boyfriend. The two got into a fight and Alonso left in the middle of the night from her ex's home. She hasn't been seen since.

Investigators responded to an area in the Glenwood Park neighborhood where the car was located in an attempt to collect evidence and information that could lead to Alonso.

Authorities said there is no way of knowing how long the car had been sitting in the neighborhood.

"It's a very populated residential neighborhood, so we would only be speculating, but it's difficult to say how long," said Lt. Jeff Hallock with the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

He added that it is still just a missing person's case because there are no suspects or any evidence that leads police to believe a crime was committed.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Department Homicide Unit at (714) 647-7055 or (714) 647-7000. Those who wish to remain anonymous can submit tips to Crime Stoppers at (855) 847-6227 or at occrimestoppers.org.
