PACOIMA, Calif. (KABC) -- Ten people were injured Monday afternoon after a compact SUV crashed into a Little Caesars Pizza in Pacoima.

Los Angeles police officers called for backup for crowd control at the pizza parlor in the 12700 block of Van Nuys Boulevard. Structure damage was minimal, fire officials said.

The 59-year-old driver told her daughter-in-law her vision was blurry and she couldn't see moments before the accident, the daughter-in-law told officers. Police were investigating whether the driver was impaired.

Seven people were taken to a hospital, including a 5-year-old with head trauma in critical condition, two other children and four adults. Two adults and one child were treated at the scene and declined further care. All 10 people were patrons inside Little Caesars.
