HANCOCK PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A car slammed into a Jewish learning center in Hancock Park, causing significant damage to the structure.

The crash occurred shortly after midnight at the Jewish Learning Exchange in the 500 block of North La Brea Avenue. The car struck a pipe, which caused water to shoot into the building, causing some flooding.

Debris from the crash was scattered all around the sidewalk, and a large crack was seen on the building face. Despite the visible damage, the structure was not red-tagged.

A woman and a man in the car were not injured in the crash. It was unclear who was driving the car at the time of the wreck.

The cause of the incident was not known, but police said drugs or alcohol were not involved. No arrests were made.

No one was inside the building at the time of the crash.

Police will be reviewing surveillance video as part of the investigation.
