Chase ends with suspect Tased on highway lane

GARLAND, Texas (KABC) -- A wild pursuit in Garland, Texas ended with the suspect running onto a busy freeway and being Tased by an officer, falling down in the middle of a lane.

The incident began with two robbery suspects inside a department store. One was arrested at the scene.

The other fled in a pickup truck, leading to a wild chase at speeds up to 90 mph.

The driver bailed out from the truck and ran across the lanes of busy I-90, dodging traffic with deputies in hot pursuit.

He leaped across the median and a deputy Tasered the suspect. The man dropped immediately in the left lane.

Luckily, passing vehicles and big rigs managed to avoid him and he was dragged away to safety and taken into custody.
