Child riding scooter hit, killed in Upland car accident

UPLAND, Calif. (KABC) -- A child riding a scooter was hit by a car and killed in an Upland neighborhood this morning.

At 11:54 a.m. California Highway Patrol officers responded to an accident at the intersection of E. 24th Street and N. 2nd Avenue in the San Antonio Heights neighborhood.

CHP officers are still investigating the accident and the child is believed to be between 10 and 12 years old.

No other details have been released at this time.
