CHP chopper hit by laser beam; no arrests

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A California Highway Patrol helicopter was hit by a laser beam Wednesday night.

The chopper immediately went looking for whoever shot the laser beam into the sky just before 10 p.m., but no arrests have been made.

Police from the cities of Orange and Anaheim helped in the search, which was focused on a mobile home park on Lewis Street in Anaheim.

A few people were briefly detained but then released due to lack of evidence.

There were no injuries on board the chopper.
