COACHELLA, Calif. (KABC) -- A Coachella man was arrested for felony DUI and child endangerment after a minor traffic collision injured two of his three young passengers Saturday.

Police say Moises Montufar, 50, was under the influence of alcohol and on probation from a prior DUI offense when he crashed into another vehicle near Harrison Street and Bagdad Avenue at 5:59 p.m.

Paramedics treated two children for minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

Montufar was booked at the county jail in Indio. The juveniles, ages 5, 10 and 11, were temporarily placed with a family member by Child Protective Services.
