Coachella man sought for crashing car into home, injuring child

COACHELLA, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is under way for a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a Coachella home, injuring an 8-year-old who was sleeping inside.

According to police, 28-year-old Noel Cipriano Felix crashed his white Ford F150 pickup truck into a home in the 86000 block of Palmeras Circle shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 6. Police say an 8-year-old child was injured as a result of the incident and had to be transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses saw Felix flee the scene after the wreck. Investigators have been trying to locate him but haven't been able to track him down. Police believe he lives in Coachella or the North Shore area.

Felix is described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
