Corona doctor offers $5K reward for stolen memorabilia
Nearly $250,000 worth of rare memorabilia, including autographed albums and signed music sheets, were stolen from a doctor's office in Corona over the Thanksgiving holiday.

CORONA, Calif. (KABC) -- From the outside, Dr. Jeffrey Katz' office looks like any other doctor's office, but inside it's more of a music history museum.

"I've been collecting for about 50 years now," Katz said.

He says that, as strange as it sounds, his prized autographed albums from some of the biggest classic rock stars around helped calm his patients.

"Put them at ease, they get an idea of what the doctor does, and so it's been a great thing," Katz said.

Well, it was a great thing. The rare memorabilia, valued at nearly $250,000, was stolen from Katz' office in Corona over the Thanksgiving holiday. Katz and members of his office suspect the burglars came in through the roof.

"They took computers, they took water bottles, they took random things, and then I think -- because I refuse to believe it's a patient -- that they saw some really nice albums on the wall and just took all those, and really didn't appreciate the value of that," Katz said.

But of the more than 60 albums that were taken, Katz says, it was the stuff inside his office that he misses most. That includes a Taylor Swift album, eight autographed albums from Led Zeppelin, one from the Beatles and a piece of signed sheet music from Bruce Springsteen.

"It was never about the money, it was about the love of the music," Katz said.

He is now offering a $5,000 reward and is very positive that he will get his valuables back.

"I have tremendous faith in the goodness of man, so we'll see," Katz said.

The Corona Police Department is investigating.
