Couple rob women walking alone in Panorama City

PANORAMA CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A couple is going around Panorama City robbing women who are walking alone, and police are searching for the suspects.

The couple drives around in a black Ford F-150 pick-up truck with the license plate number 77584D1. The vehicle is also a special Harley Davidson model.

They look for victims, pull up alongside them and a woman gets out and robs the unsuspecting victims using various weapons.

It has happened at least twice and it is done in broad daylight.

"We have a male Hispanic and a female Hispanic working together and they're committing these robberies," NAME said. "Since the women are the ones that are being targeted in the area, we are asking that if they could walk in pairs, be aware of their surroundings."

Women who spoke with Eyewitness News said they plan to stay aware.
