LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A crew member of a container ship was found dead after an apparent industrial accident at the Port of Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The discovery was made aboard the Cap Posada just before 11 p.m. in Wilmington. The man appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma to his head.
Authorities say the victim may have died when containers were being moved on and off the ship, which arrived at 12:30 p.m. at the port's Berth 136.
A cause of death has not yet been determined. Port police and the federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration are investigating.
