GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Two cross-dressing men and a third man were arrested Saturday for shoplifting and stealing from a guard in Glendale.

Glendale Police arrested Darrin White, 20, Samuel Frank, 28, and Edward Nino, 25, shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday after officers were summoned to the drug store located at 531 N. Glendale Avenue.

Officers were called to the scene regarding a disturbance between White and Frank and a loss-prevention agent at the location.

The investigation revealed that White and Frank had disguised themselves in women's clothing. They were allegedly observed taking two cans each of Enfamil baby formula and putting them in purses they were carrying. The two men then walked toward the exit without paying for the items.

The loss-prevention agent contacted the suspects and police were notified. Investigating officers searched Frank's vehicle and found 24 cans of Enfamil. Ten were later found to be shoplifted from the Vons supermarket at 311 West Los Feliz Boulevard. Surveillance video from that location showed the suspects had been there earlier.

Edward Nino was found outside the Rite Aid, and officers determined he was involved with the two suspects. He was found to have in his possession a paycheck and stub belonging to the agent that had been removed from his missing backpack a short time before officers arrived. Nino was also found to have a warrant for his arrest.

Frank and White were arrested for burglary and Nino was arrested for identity theft.
