WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- An alleged drunk driver was arrested for impaired driving after he crashed through the front glass door of the iconic Marc Jacobs store in West Hollywood early Sunday.

Los Angeles police officers responded to the call at about 2 a.m. at the location in the 8400 block of Melrose Place.

Officials from the LAPD West Traffic Division said the Chevy Camaro jumped the curb, struck a light pole and then slammed into the front of the store.

Police confirmed witness accounts of the suspect seen running from the scene with a bottle in his hand.

Soon after, he returned to the crash site, where officers gave him a breathalyzer test and took him into custody, according to police.

A passenger in the car suffered minor injuries.
