SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- Fire officials discussed Tuesday how residents can prepare for an explosive fire season under severe drought conditions.
The hot, dry Santa Ana winds have helped fuel some of the worst wildfires in the San Bernardino National Forest, including a 2003 blaze that contributed to six deaths.
With October being an especially disastrous month, fire agencies are asking the public to be prepared ahead of time with its new evacuation plan.
