PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (KABC) --Sheriff's deputies in Florida were searching for a convicted robber - and they found him holed up in the last place they expected. The unusual discovery was all caught on body cams.
Deputies in Florida's Pasco County were searching for Jason Taylor, who was convicted of robbery with a deadly weapon, for violating his probation. Body cameras were recording as investigators searched his bedroom.
A woman in the room told officials that she had not seen him. That's when an officer noticed movement from a dresser drawer.
The deputies told the woman to get out of the way and order Taylor to get out of the dresser and get on the ground.
The deputies found Taylor hiding inside a hollowed-out dresser with a secret door.
"I thought he wasn't here ma'am, funny how that works," a deputy tells the woman.
Taylor told deputies he wasn't hiding - and that he likes to sleep in the hollowed-out dresser. Taylor now gets to tell that story to a judge.
