NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- An alleged known gang member was shot twice near a 7-Eleven convenience store in North Hollywood Sunday, according to the LAPD.

The shooting occurred on the 10900 block of Victory Boulevard just after 9 p.m.

Los Angeles police say the victim was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. He is listed in critical, but stable condition.

Three male suspects are allegedly still on the run. Two fled the scene on bikes, and the other fled on a skateboard.

The shooting was initially reported as having taken place near a 99 Cents Only Store. Eyewitness News has since learned the victim ran across the street to the discount store after he was shot.

The investigation is ongoing. No further details were released.
