11-year-old girl struck, injured by car while walking to school in Anaheim

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized in critical condition after being hit by a car while walking to school in Anaheim Wednesday morning.

The incident happened shortly after 7 a.m. at Lincoln Avenue and Monterey Street near Juliette Low Elementary School.

Police say the driver stopped about a block away. No arrests have been made.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
