ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. (KABC) -- Human remains were discovered Monday in the Angeles National Forest, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said.

Two hunters discovered a human skull over the side of a cliff near Glendora Ridge Road Mile Marker 10.5. and contacted the sheriff's department at 5:30 p.m.

L.A. County homicide detectives were searching for additional human remains Tuesday morning.

The cause of death and identity of the victim remains under investigation.
