MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- In Minneapolis, customers were offended, some even enraged, by a photo used in the decor of a restaurant called Joe's Crab Shack.
As part of the table display, a historic photo shows the hanging of black man for robbery and murder in 1895. That man is surrounded by a crowd of white people.
There's also a word bubble above the man being lynched that reads: "All I said was I didn't like the gumbo!"
Tyrone Williams is one of the upset customers.
"We just felt sick and confused. It was just sickening, it was disgusting," he said.
Joe's Crab Shack released a statement apologizing, saying they understand the photo is offensive, that they take this matter very seriously and have since removed that photo.
