L.A. Zoo holiday light display kicks off for the season

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Griffith Park holiday light display is back and for the first time located in the Los Angeles Zoo.

The light festival features a troupe of animated LED monkeys, lights, lasers and 3-D projections. Families can take a self-guided tour of selected areas of the zoo. Reindeers will also be on display.

Mayor Eric Garcetti and other city officials arrived Friday to help kick off the lighting.
