LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- Three people were killed and three others injured in a violent two-vehicle collision in Lancaster Friday night, Los Angeles County Fire Department officials said.

The incident involved a Jeep and a pick-up truck at the intersection of 25th Street West and Avenue K at about 6:10 p.m. It appears the Jeep flipped and hit a utility pole and a tree. Witnesses said there were five people inside the car at the time. Some of them may have been ejected.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victims included a 12-year-old boy from Palmdale and 19-year-old Christopher McGlory from Lancaster. The identity of the third victim was not released.
