LAWNDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Two classrooms at Lawndale High School were damaged after multiple trash cans on school grounds caught fire on Sunday.

Fire crews rushed to the school shortly before 2 a.m.

One classroom incurred minor damage to the interior and the other received minor damage to the exterior.

No one was injured.

It's unknown how soon students will be allowed back inside the damaged classrooms.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
