TEMPLE CITY, Calif. (KABC) -- A 37-year-old San Gabriel man has been arrested in the death of a man who was shot at a marijuana growing house in Temple City and left in the trunk of an abandoned car, officials said.

Andy Chen was arrested early Monday on suspicion of murder in the death of Min Gu, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Gu's body was found on March 21 after residents called authorities about a foul odor coming from a car parked in in Monterey Park on the 200 block of south Lincoln Avenue. Monterey Park police opened the trunk and found a decomposing body inside.

Detectives later determined that Gu had been shot at a marijuana growing house in the 5500 block of Sultana Avenue in Temple City. They believe Chen's motive for the alleged killing was a financial dispute.

Chen was being held on $1 million bail.
