Police: Man attacked fmr. boss dressed as ninja
Police in Delaware County say a man was arrested for attacking his former boss with a hammer - while dressed as a ninja.

UPPER PROVIDENCE TWP., P.A. -- Police in Pennsylvania say a man was arrested for attacking his former boss with a hammer - while dressed as a ninja.

Michael Norley Jr., 29, was arraigned on Wednesday on a series of charges, including attempted murder following the attack early Tuesday in Upper Providence Township.

Investigators say Norley waited outside the home of his target dressed all in black.

Armed with a ball-peen hammer, police say Norley attacked - but the victim was able to knock his mask off.

"He began shouting out his name and asking him why he's doing this, at which time Norley retreated into a heavily-wooded area," said Chief David Montella of the Upper Providence Police.

The victim's family quickly called 911, and paramedics arrived to find the man badly beaten and bleeding profusely.

"The attack was one of the worst I've seen, just an absolutely brutal attack," Montella said.

Before he was taken to the hospital, the victim told investigators who was behind the attack.

So, authorities went to Norley's home in Lititz, Lancaster County, where he arrived a few hours later.

Police say Norley confessed to the crime. He is now being held on $500,000 cash bail.

The victim in this case is expected to fully recover.
